Celadon Applications, LLC is a software development company headquartered in Iowa City, IA. Celadon was founded by a mixture of seasoned entrepreneurs, innovative creative software designers and those interested in making new and better technologies more approachable and useful. Our focus is developing software solutions for unmet telematics/infotainment niches for the hybrid and electric vehicle market and in other alternate energy and green industries.
Our first product, Road2TM is a vehicle simulator application that enables drivers of e-cars to determine how far they can make it on a charge of electricity or tank of gas (for hybrids) and determine where they can refill or recharge. This is especially critical in the rapidly growing market of electric vehicles. Our product can take a variety of forms, including vehicle-embedded hardware applications, standalone telematics/infotainment systems, smartphone and web applications, hybrid drive train optimization, and scenario modeling for vehicle design. Rights to each of these products can be sold off while still permitting us to retain our technology core. We have developed the first version of our application based on our patent-pending precision range calculation technology to ensure greater accuracy.
We have negotiated access to the use of a popular recharging site database for our applications, have sales with some of the world's largest automotive firms, and have conducted real-world accuracy validations of our algorithms with excellent results.
Attention from leading manufacturers of electric and hybrid cars has brought us into significant development projects to help lower the cost, weight and power consumption of both electric based and eventually, existing auto designs.
To help encourage the development and growth the of the solar power industry, working with leading experts and suppliers, our Solar Calculator has been developed to provide accurate and fact based information on the usability, costs and ROI of solar installations.
We will continue to work with leaders in the alternate energy and electric car industries to provide intelligent, useful and innovative software to support the growth and acceptance of this critical set of industries.
